This week in school we've been learning all about Fall!
We enjoyed beading necklaces with leaf-shaped leaves, making apple paintings and leaf rubbings, bringing in leaves and acorns for Show & Share and getting Weather Bear dressed for the change in season.
Let's not forget how we love to play and to participate in the daily rituals of school such as Circle Time and Story Time!
... and some of us even like to clean up!
Our multi-step project of the week was creating our squirrels. We learned about squirrels at lesson time, read story books with squirrel characters, "wrote" the word Squirrel by tracing our letters and used our strong fine motor skills to "pinch and pull" the cotton balls that used to make the fur. We then painted our squirrels crafts and of course gave them a few of the acorns we had collected.
What a lovely first week of Autumn!
