Halloween!

Hooray! It's finally October 31st and time to celebrate Halloween!

We had a blast together at school today, and we loved seeing each other's costumes

 during Show & Share. Take a look:

The kids have been talking about their costumes for the last couple of weeks, and have also been asking what Claire and I were going to dress up as. Well, on Tuesday I decided to ask the group what Weather Bear should wear as a Halloween costume and here are the suggestions that I received:

Zadia: "a watermelon"

Evan: "Mickey"

Ollie: "a scary alien"

Alec: "a mommy or a daddy"

Bella: "a door"

Milo: "Jake, like me!"

Hana: "a princess"

Audrey: "a bunny"

Luca: "a mouse"

It turns out Weather Bear already had a plan. 

He came dressed as a pile of Fall leaves:

In costume or out, we enjoyed a lot of dancing today to fun tunes like "Monster Mash," (you know, the one about silly monsters who likes to eat mashed potatoes!) and "Purple People Eater"(about a flying monster who eats people's purple clothes and shoes!). 

We even ate creative Halloween snacks today-- thanks Tracey!

Finally, we created Monster-eating bats today as a craft. These guys may look sweet as they hang upside-down from their tree branches, but if you open their wings and look into their bellies, you'll find a monster in there!
