... and the rain inspired a few ducks to jump up there with Weather Bear so that we could teach Miss Claire one of our favorite Music & Movement tunes, "The Five Little Ducks."
Speaking of water, Bella's parents bought us water color paint sets from the wishlist and we look forward to using them soon! Bella's grandmother also sent us a doctor's kit and now our tiny human medical team is seeing both human and animal patients at our playtime clinic!
We also got some great floor puzzles from Alec & Evan's parents. They are illustrated with scenes of the 4 seasons and we worked in partner teams on Tuesday to take turns completing the puzzles and then trading them with our classmates.
Hana's mom has been supplying us with great library books each week for our reading teepee! Today we read one about construction vehicles and matched the ones pictured in the book to the toy vehicles Emmett's grandmother bought us from the wishlist previously. This pairing was a bit hit!
We also read a book called "Super Princess Cat!" about a girl who wore many different combinations of costumes. As I'm taking suggestions from our tiny humans for my Halloween costume, I decided to give the combo costume idea a try today during play time:
I think perhaps I'll stick to a cowgirl ;)
