This was a week of much celebration :)
The weather gave us some glimpses into true Spring and we celebrated school birthdays for Evan who is turning 3 on Easter Sunday, and Zadia who has officially been 4 since Thursday!
Evan found the tiny birthday cake in our matching game… a good omen!
Evan confers with his brother Alec to make sure it is indeed "this many" fingers!
No school birthday would be complete without dancing to the birthday song and blowing out our finger candles with fun wishes for our special friend.
Evan's mom made us pink and purple bunny birthday cookies to enjoy at snack time--
we loved them!
Zadia was rockin her pink zebra threads for her school birthday party and much dancing was done once again during circle time to celebrate :)
The boys look very serious about their fingers candles and well wishes for Zadia… and those cupcakes were scrumptious!
This week we spoke a lot about what happens in the Spring-- Spring holidays, Spring weather and changes to many aspects of nature at this time. We spoke about how "April showers bring May flowers" and that plants will be blooming and growing. We also discussed how birds and other animals have babies in the Spring and that it's a time for renewal. We created some fun craft projects featuring Easter bunnies, dyed (paper) eggs and Spring chickens too!
Our Yoga lesson this week told a story of a little chick learning to fly, and in Movement we attempted to fly too with giant jumps!
This was a fun week to set us off on our travels and staycations. When we return to THA we'll be celebrating Earth Day and gearing up for May Day/Lei Day as well :)
Have a wonderful Spring vacation and we'll see you in 12 days!
