This week both Audrey and Hana turned 4 years old!
They looked very beautiful in their pink crowns, and we enjoyed singing and dancing in Circle Time to celebrate their special days.
There was so much to celebrate this week! We made some beautiful flower art and also got to listen to a story about Spring flowers growing with a book set and recording. This taught us how to turn the page when we hear the chime like "big kids" at a listening center in a classroom or library setting.
We did some flower-themed Yoga this week too, and then got to work on a longgggg banner for our May Day/Lei Day Party.
Our "May Day is Lei Day in Hawaii" party was so much fun! We loved teaching our parents the names of the body parts in Hawaiian and singing along with the song "This is my Piko." Making our lei and eating the wonderful food with our families was a great time too!
On Friday we got to work creating robot puppets from the recycled soup cans that you brought in to school. We named our robots and some of them ended up with names like "Purpley-Pinkish Princess" while others got "Iggy" and "Banana." Go figure!
Thank you to Bella's parents for lending us this dollhouse-- it's been a big hit with all of the kids this week :)
Speaking of popular toys, your kids are building AMAZING things with the standard (small) sized legos! We would love to have more legos so I have added several lego sets to the amazon wish list. Thank you!
Look at this vehicle that Alec made!
Have a wonderful Spring weekend :)
