One wedding, One Goodbye and a whole lot of firemen!

You know the school year is really coming to a close when you hit the end of the alphabet...

The exciting part came when I revealed to the kids that I had been saving their letter writing sheets all year and that now we'd be turning them into complete alphabet books! Here we are tracing A-Z for the front covers and then admiring the finished products afters an alphabet-themed Yoga session:

Luca made this awesome "daisies" out of unifix cubes!
His bouquet was very impressive… so he offered it to Bella along with a marriage proposal!!!
She gave him a "No thank you" and he then asked Zadia...

… and she said YES!

Best wishes to the happy couple ;)

We enjoyed making summer necklaces this week with all of our "leftovers" beads shaped like stars and  flowers, and even glow-in-the dark pieces!

For our last day of Movement class, we pulled out all the stops (and all of the equipment!) and went for BIG jumps over the whole world!

On Friday we had our final Show & Share. It was a day to dress up as what you'd like to be when you grow up. Here are our 5 handsome firefighters, 1 police officer, 1 baker and 2 doctors (Audrey would have dressed as a doctor too, but ironically she was home sick!):

The kids really enjoyed seeing the photos of Ollie dressed up like a fire fighter, and we passed the pictures of our buddy around the circle:

We miss you Ollie!

Speaking of missing friends… Friday was Milo's last day of school as he's on vacation now, so his family stopped by Circle Time for a little THA dance party.
Nice moves Olivers!

All of our tiny humans have gained a couple of inches this year! We measured ourselves this week too and then compared our present heights with the measurements we took the first week of school-- Wow!

It was nice to see how much more independent they are now at the worktables as well, compared to last September:

Here are our gorgeous sunflowers:

On Friday I did a little puppet show of the folktale The Little Red Hen. We all agreed that the hen's friends should try harder next time to help so that they get rewarded with the yummy bread. I love this tale for its practical lesson and tough love ending!

We built, we drew, we pretended-- we PLAYED!

"Shaker Hockey!"
