Great Reads!

Here are some FANTASTIC books for kids that deal with social-emotional growth, behavior and character development. I highly recommend picking up these books for your home library to reinforce the concepts that we are working on in school such as fair play, kind words, helping others, impulse management, social cueing and good listening skills.

We read about Howard B. Wigglebottom last week:

Today we read about how to be "bucket fillers" as opposed to "bucked dippers" in this book on kindness:

Tomorrow we will read this wonderful book that helps children to understand social cues and the concept of "interrupting... or as the character in the book calls it, "ERUPTING!"

Next week we will work with this book about anger and the process of calming down.

None of these will compare, of course, to our hand-made "3 Fair Ways to Play" posters that will come home on Thursday!

  1. Zadia couldn't stop talking about her "invisible bucket filled with love." I love the concept! Thanks Miss Nicole!
